Pamela offers the following massage modalities, and would be happy to discuss the right technique for you:

Remedial Massage:
Remedial Massage aims to benefit specific conditions, such as musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, headaches, scoliosis, postural dysfunction and repetitive strain injury. It incorporates a wide variety of deep tissue techniques such as trigger point therapy, mobilization and stretch therapy, allowing pain relief, muscle healing and greater range of movement. Other techniques, such as cupping and gua sha (spooning) may be used where appropriate. An assessment of the client’s condition may be made at the start of the session, and remedial exercise may be suggested at its conclusion.
This treatment can be claimed on most private health funds.
Available for 30/45/60/90 min.

Relaxation Massage:
Relaxation massage aims to promote a general feeling of well-being, as well as providing such physical benefits as increased circulation, lowered blood pressure and increased lymphatic functioning. Traditional Swedish Massage techniques are used, with pressure firm or gentle as required to create a feeling of bliss!

Pregnancy Massage:
Performed in the 2nd and 3rd trimester, pregnancy massage combines Swedish relaxation massage and remedial massage as required. It helps to alleviate common ailments of pregnancy such as fatigue, fluid retention and lower back pain. A special cushion is used so that clients may lie on their front. A wonderful way to get more in touch with yourself and your baby during this special time!
Available for 30/45/60 min

Manual Lymphatic Drainage:
A very gentle, relaxing, full body technique which aims to assist the lymphatic function of the body in filtering and removing waste products from the body’s tissues. It is ideal for those on a detox plan, for pre and post surgery, or for anyone suffering from exhaustion or low immunity.

Lymphatic Drainage can also be used to help manage lymphoedema, a deficiency of the lymphatic system which results in chronic swelling, usually of a limb. Lymphoedema most commonly occurs after treatment for cancer in which lymph nodes have been removed and/or radiotherapy has been used. It is one part of a multifaceted approach that includes compression garments and exercise to help those affected attain a better quality of life.

If you are interested in manual lymphatic drainage specifically for lymphoedema please email Pamela Frost for further information: pbfros@hotmail.com
