Gertrude Street Yoga 200hr Teacher Training Application Form
Treatments Yoga Nidra Yoga Nidra is a sleep based guided meditation which allows the body to deeply restore itself and balance excess stress. Using body, breath and awareness techniques the client is able to move from thinking and doing, to feeling and being.
It is said that 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra is as restorative as several hours of sleep.
Sessions are received lying down on a yoga mat, using whatever props will contribute to making the client warm and comfortable. Blankets, bolsters, and eye masks are made available and will contribute to the client’s comfort and stillness during the session. There is no physical touch given during a Yoga Nidra session. The energy and voice of the facilitator guides the client to enter profoundly deep states of consciousness.
Nancy facilitates private Yoga Nidra sessions for 1-3 people.
60min - $90
Reiki Reiki assists the body’s natural ability to balance and restore itself at the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Reiki is a Japanese word meaning “universal life force energy.” This traditional “laying on of the hands” healing art technique has been practiced throughout history; it was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui Sensei of Japan in the 1920’s.
Reiki sessions are received on a massage table with clothes on. Reiki is a gentle hands-on and hands-above the body relaxation technique that promotes stress-reduction, health and healing. The practitioner acts as the vehicle through which Reiki flows. Reiki, the energy itself, is the healer.
60min - $90
Tarot The Tarot is a visual map of consciousness and a symbolic system that offers insight into the professional contribution, personal motives, and spiritual development of each individual. As a map of consciousness, the Tarot represents a facet of the total life experience incorporating the “practical-everyday world” with the spiritual growth and evolution of each person. — A. Arrien
Nancy has used and studied Tarot for many years and approaches the cards as symbols from a psychological, mythological, and cross-cultural perspective. Just as psychological and spiritual information is revealed to us in dreams or contemplative states, the Tarot functions as an outer mirror of external experiences and internal psychological states as well. The Tarot deck that Nancy uses was illustrated by Lady Freida Harris, and it reveals the universal principles that are experienced cross culturally, not only from a Western perspective.
The foundation of Nancy’s work with Tarot is the belief that the symbols found on each Tarot card function as a way that the mind and heart can be opened to the wonder of what is going on with the individual, internally and externally at that moment in time.
Nancy offers several different types of Tarot consultations, and it is necessary to have a short phone call with her to discuss which best suits one’s needs and interests.
60min - $90
Nancy Campos Nancy is a life-long student and practitioner of the healing arts. She offers Yoga Nidra, Reiki, and Tarot consultations. Her belief that the body-mind-spirit contains the wisdom to balance and heal itself informs all her work.
Nancy came of age in the late 1960’s and early 70’s in California. Being outside at the ocean or hiking in the mountains always provided profound experiences for her and allowed for greater connection between her personal inner world and the greater, all encompassing energy that surrounds everything that exists, visible and invisible.
Over the years, she has studied psychology, body mechanics, deep tissue massage, shiatsu massage, yoga, astrology, tarot, herbology, and Steiner Education.
These days Nancy mostly works with people on an energetic level although she always loved the more physical massage work, and is forever grateful for all that she has learned about the wonders of the human form. The greatest gift she has received and nurtured over the years is the awareness of the body-mind-spirit connection and the huge part Breath plays in uniting them. Her joy is helping others to find balance, integration and peace within their own body-mind-spirit.

Treatments Myotherapy The term myotherapy is derived from the word ‘myo’, meaning ‘muscle’. A myotherapist is, in essence, a muscle specialist. A myotherapist focuses on assessing and remedying musculoskeletal pain; they assess the impact that muscles have on surrounding joints, ligaments, discs, nerves and even headaches. Grounded in the understanding that there is both tightness and weakness in the muscles, our treatment aims to realign the body with a variety of soft tissue techniques including:
Dry needling - deactivate pain response in muscles by inserting an acupuncture needle. Cupping - releasing fascia (chains of connective tissue) Mobilistion - gently moving joints to relax muscles Corrective exercise - after correcting the imbalances we need to give you a set of movements that will strengthen and maintain your new found posture.
Brief - 30 min $75 Standard - 45 min $ 95 Extended - 1 hour $115
About Coby Coby first learned about myotherapy as a patient and I soon recognised the importance of listening to her body, which led her to a continued interest in myotherapy and a passion for using it to help others. Physical strength and mobility are able to empower people in so many ways, whether it be through the alleviation of pain or increased body confidence. She wants people to feel connected to their bodies and is deeply passionate about encouraging this understanding. Through a thorough assessment of a patient’s posture and movements she is able to garner an in-depth understanding of where imbalances in the body lie. By using a variety of massage techniques she is able to recreate symmetry in the body and in doing so, alleviate pain caused by misalignment. Together with her clients, she can create achievable long term goals, whether they are seeking pain free movement, increased mobility or recovery from injury.
As unique as you are, so is every treatment given, depending on what your needs are and how you would like to feel on the day. Each treatment begins with a short consultation.
Relax and Balance Massage When the body is taken into a state of deep relaxation it allows it to release and let go so healing can occur. Using a combination of massage techniques and reflexology this treatment will help with pain relief, reduce symptoms of stress and calm the mind. It may relax or energise the body depending on your needs. A blend or individual essential oil may also be used as part of the treatment.
60 mins - $80 90 mins - $110
Hawaiian Hot Stone Massage Using the wisdom of the four elements, earth, fire, air and water, this massage is used to soothe, heal and restore. The heat from the stones penetrate deep into the body, removing any blockages so the energy can flow freely, blood flow is increased and and pain is reduced. The rhythmical strokes take you into a deeper state of relaxation, softening and releasing tension in muscles and tissues. Finally ending with an auric cleanse and a blessing is given. This is a powerful and cleansing massage.
60 mins - $95 90 mins - $125
Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Reiki is a Japanese healing therapy that uses the laying on of hands to channel the universal life force energy, encouraging the body and mind to use its own natural healing capabilities. It is a gentle yet powerful healing treatment that can be received by all ages and all stages of life. The word reiki comes from the Japanese words Rei (universal life) and Ki (energy)
60 mins - $90 90 mins - $120
Aromatherapy In the aromatherapy session we work with all aspects of your being, the physical, the mental, the emotional and the spiritual, to create balance and harmony. Understanding where the imbalances exist means we can make an essential oil blend that is purposefully created just for you. The power of the essential oils, the knowledge and experience of the therapist, and your own intuitive wisdom is what makes this therapy so special. The aromatherapy massage, developed by Micheline Arcier, brings together a combination of techniques for a complete healing. It is a gentle but powerful massage that works synergistically with the essential oils.
60 mins - $85.00 including take home oil blend.

Hannah currently calls Melbourne home and co-owns Gertrude Street Yoga Studio with her husband Jaspah.

Kate Litwinko
Kate Litwinko was born in Los Angeles, California. She began her journey with yoga during the beginning of her nursing career to find balance in an often stressful work environment. She was immediately drawn to the qualities yoga cultivated of self-reflection, peace of mind, strength and flexibility. After practicing intensively under the guidance of Jay Co, Bryan Kest, and Jerome Mercier in Santa Monica, Kate decided to take her 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Teaching certification to deepen the understanding of her practice. She began teaching sporadically in the years that followed for several well-renowned teachers in Santa Monica, whilst continuing to work as a Registered Nurse.
Soon the travel bug hit, and Kate began a new journey working on private yachts in Mexico, California, and the South Pacific. Completing her yachting stint in New Zealand, Kate lived for a year and taught Vinyasa and Yin yoga in Hawkes Bay and Auckland. She then moved to Melbourne and continues to teach full time. Kate continues to deepen her yoga education through workshops, reading, and exploring the philosophies and teachings of yogis such as Tirumalai Krishnamacharya, TKV Desikachar, and Paul Grilley, and continues to draw upon the inspiration of her original teachers back home as well as amazing yogis she has met while traveling in various parts of the World.
Kate’s classes are constantly changing and growing the more she learns from her practice, although focus is always on linking breath with movement, moving wisely for your unique physical, mental, and emotional situation, and utilizing a therapeutic approach to yoga so it may be a lifelong practice.
Laura discovered yoga over 15 years ago to help calm the mind and stretch the body while working a busy corporate job in London. Over time as her physical practice developed she found yoga helped shed light on who she really was and what she really wanted to do.
This unfolded into a desire to go deeper into her practice, which led her to her first teacher training in India in 2014. This ignited her passion to teach and share yoga. Most recently, Laura has been studying with Tara Judelle and Scott Lyons of Embodied Flow TM.
Alongside practicing and teaching yoga, Laura likes to push her limits through endurance activities. In 2015 she completed a 9,000km cycling tour through Africa. She has now turned her corporate skills towards the non-profit and international development arena.
Laura’s style is a balance between a strong, playful slow vinyasa flow and a restoring yin with a focus on breath and listening to your inner voice. Her invitation is to find those moments of stillness, peace and flow on the mat, where we can create more space, richness and joy in our lives.

Annie Belcher
My classes tend to be slow and strong with a focus on interoception (that is, paying attention to your internal state).
I intend to make classes feel spacious with plenty of room for each person to adapt the class to their own wants and needs.
My classes are largely informed by my studies and work in psychology and are therefore secular and usually draw on psychological tools and techniques that can be soothing, help regulate ones’ thoughts and emotions and/or provide a framework for living with - and making sense of - thoughts, sensations and emotions.
Jess's classes are playful, experiential, rich and empowering designed to anchor us back home into our bodies so we can experience Self in its wholeness.
Whilst yoga began for Jess as simply a way to move gently and feel good within her body, over the years it developed into so much more — a practise which has offered her a sweet way to come back to herself, and meet life with ease.
She uses movement, asana, meditation, visualisation, breath, philosophy and felt sense to inspire awareness and aquire a deep sense of nourishment, strength, ease and connectivity in the human form.
Her classes are strongly influenced by Embodied Flow TM developed by her teachers Tara Judelle and Scott Lyons. She first studied with them in 2016. She has been devoted to yoga since 2008. Her intention as a teacher is to deeply embody everything she if offering, so that what comes from her to you in a class is an honest form of communication. Jess welcomes everyone to her classes, of all diversities, and regardless of their yoga experience. She invites you to contact her directly @jesssandral.yoga if you have any questions.

Growing up with a mom who practiced shiatu massage and yoga, Hannah has always been interested in bodywork and appreciated the power of eastern healing modalities. She first pursued this interest through teaching yoga and continues to do so in yoga classes, trainings, and one on one sessions. Always curious to explore bodywork but never seeming to connect with the perfect modality, she fully resonated with the philosophy and techniques of ZenThai Shiatsu when she discovered it in 2017 and was inspired to complete their therapist program.
A session with Hannah begins with a chat to create an aligned intention and a diagnosis utilizing traditional chinese medicine techniques. The bodywork is practiced fully clothed on a mat on the floor and engages both the structural systems of the body as well as the energetic (meridian) systems of the body. These sessions are holistic and support your whole person wellbeing, meaning that they can be useful if you have physical discomfort or pain, are experiencing other lifestyle difficulties like fatigue, digestive issues, and insomia among others, or simply want to relax and feel restored. Each session is tailored to meet your specific needs and support you in the best way possible.
